How does creativity work?

The unconscious mind might be part of the creative process. But the mind cannot be creative about nothing in mind. It needs to be creative about something. The unconscious mind might do all the integration work and the processing work of the creative process but it needs to integrate and process something.

So how is that something created?

It might start from an observation. Something might capture your interest and then you might want to expand the observation into an idea. Your unconscious would know about this observation that you are interested in but it still does not know what you want to do with it. The unconscious mind is at your mercy — you tell it what to do. You need to give it information to work on.

So you tale that observation and then you spin it in your mind and turn it into something else and then the unconscious mind integrates the new information and process the info and the then it sends it back to you are perceptions and then you decide you want to push the idea further and so on and so on.

So what spins the idea in your mind. There is only ONE thing that can do this spinning of observations in your mind and that is verbal thinking. What is verbal thinking — it is you having a silent conversation with yourself and building up an idea in your mind. It is like 2 people having a conversation aloud about an idea — but in this case, you are having a silent conversation with yourself — verbal thinking.

Mind spaces:

The unconscious mind processing and integrating information might send you irs results via an insight. We never know from where an insight pops up in your mind as it just appears but always about what you are preoccupied with within your mind. Insight might be from the unconscious mind or even from the ether from the universe with its own mind. We are connected to everything.

The processing of information might even be part of the universe, as where do you think your memory is stored — what in your brain in some brain tissue. Which is more plausible in some brain tissue or coded in the ether. Especially when your mind is an electromagnetic phenomenon:

So the unconscious mind that you mention might be a greater space of our mind and also being part of the universe itself:

So creativity is all the above working together and more of which we still do not know about but the baseline process is pretty much what is above.

Creativity is not just of the unconscious processing in the mind. I would say that if not for verbal thinking there would be no creativity. It is a very important part of the creative process.

If you look back in history, you will find that only when verbal thinking evolved in us is that we progressed at great speed. The light bulb is only 140 years old. Verbal thinking evolved in us only after the alphabet was invented by us for language and that was in the 7th century and that was more than 1000 years ago and to think that the light bulb only turned up 140 years ago.

English Language:

It originated around the 7th century from Latin script. Since then, letters have been added or removed to give the current Modern English alphabet of 26 letters with no diacritics, digraphs, nor special characters. The word alphabet is a compound of the first two letters of the Greek alphabet, alpha and beta.

One should be glad that we have the mind we have here today but we must understand what is mind and learn to control the mind — that is for the future when we shall progress in leaps and bounds when that time comes — when we have control over our minds and find our full potential in mind.
