Why use Mantra in Meditation?

The function of the mantra in meditation? What does it do?

So I wonder if people know the function of the mantra in meditation and why we use it during meditation: It is introduced during meditation to distract us from verbal thinking. We have to silently verbalise everything we want to think for us to be able to think at all- it is an anomaly is us. It can be considered as being the frontline of thinking. The most obvious form of thinking that we use the most. It is responsible for psychological thinking, creating ideas, drives the creative process etc. and this is where the concept of “duality” arises as verbal thinking is the creator of illusions and the personality.

Then there is also pictorial thinking and intuitive thinking all non-interactive type of thinking and that is how they differ from self-talk thinking.

What the mantra does is it takes us away from self-talk and forces us to stop silently speaking what we want to think and hence bring on the silent mind. If you can find the reason then you can use the anomaly to bring on a silent mind anytime you want rather than just in cross-legged meditation. Just concentrate on the vocal cords as your “mantra” and make sure it is still and not working or trying to verbalise your thoughts. It is stopping a mechanical process and one can easily feel if the vocal cords are silently working or not. If you use this technique then your mind can remain silent not just during cross-legged meditation but anytime during your waking hours, while walking talking anytime to keep the chaos in the thinking mind calm and have better control over the mind.

Stop the vocal cord from working to bring on a silent mind:

The mind can easily remain silent the whole day with this reminder of the vocal cords verbalising your thoughts and when used during cross-legged meditation then bringing on the silent mind is almost instant but there is still pictorial thinking and intuitive thinking still at work but psychological interactive thinking stops completely. That is also why the technique can be used during your daily activities as you still have your intuition and pictorial thinking to work with. My experience is that if you remain in the silent mind state long enough then even pictorial thinking and intuitive thinking disappears into a silent no-mind state.

What Qualifies as Artistic Enlightenment?

If Buddha was an Artist what would he have painted?

This exhibition does ask the question: in what state our minds are when we make art and how much of the Truth is manifested from a troubled mind.

—Karen Armstrong from ‘Buddha’

Artists, poets and musicians can only become fully creative if they work from this inner core of peace and integrity. Once a person has learned to access this nucleus of calm, he or she is no longer driven by conflicting fears and desires, and is able to face pain, sorrow and grief with equanimity. An enlightened or awakened human being has discovered a strength within that comes from being correctly centered, beyond the reach of selfishness.

There is subjectivity even in criticism. I think when the mind is centred and all mind spaces discovered and the mind is truly in control of itself – Is there still a reason to make art? Art in itself has its purpose as in any creative process to have a dialogue with the inner self to prise out itself and expose the limitations of the mind: self knowledge. So what is its value if not just a decorative item on the wall or does it have its place in our minds as an item that depicts an image of the Truth not found.

Jiddu Krishnamurti’s views on creativity:

The freedom to create comes with self-knowledge; but self-knowledge is not a gift. One can be creative without having any particular talent. Creativeness is a state of being in which the conflicts and sorrows of the self are absent, a state in which the mind is not caught up in the demands and pursuits of desire. To be creative is not merely to produce poems, or statues, or children; it is to be in that state in which truth can come into being. Truth comes into being when there is a complete cessation of thought; and thought ceases only when the self is absent, when the mind has ceased to create, that is, when it is no longer caught in its own pursuits. When the mind is utterly still without being forced or trained into quiescence, when it is silent because the self is inactive, then there is creation.

From EDUCATION AND THE SIGNIFICANCE OF LIFE

Art divorced from life has no great significance. When art is separate from our daily living, when there is a gap between our instinctual life and our efforts on canvas, in marble or in words, then art becomes merely an expression of our superficial desire to escape from the reality of what is. To bridge this gap is very arduous, especially for those who are gifted and technically proficient; but it is only when the gap is bridged that our life becomes integrated and art an integral expression of ourselves.

From “Life Ahead”

You may be a potential writer, or a poet. or a painter. Whatever it is, if you really love to do it, you are not ambitious, because in love there is no ambition.

Krishnamurti (K) was not much of a fan of image making by the conditioned mind. As for the artist and art he had a few things to say in his time. His approach to the arts was that the artist and his work should be holistic in nature.

Who is that person that you call an artist? A man (or woman) who is momentarily creative? To me he is not an artist. The man who merely at rare moments has his creative impulse and expresses that creativeness through perfection of technique, surely you would not call him an artist. To me, the true artist is one who lives completely, harmoniously, who does not divide his art from living, whose very life is that expression, whether it be a picture, music, or his behavior; who has not divorced his expression on a canvas or in music or in tone from his daily conduct, daily living. That demands the highest intelligence, highest harmony. To me the true artist is the man who has that harmony. He may express it on canvas, or he may talk, or he may paint; or he may not express it at all, he may feel it. But all this demands that exquisite poise, that intensity of awareness and, therefore, his expression is not divorced from the daily continuity of living’ (Total Freedom: Krishnamurti foundation of America)

Besides being holistic, there is also that question of ‘purpose of life’. At some stage in the artists career he is going to ask himself this question. When I asked the artist John Hoyland in his studio, when he was in his 70’s, (see previous article ‘John Hoyland: Today’s Turner’ from siriperera.com) as to why he still had to keep painting: he said because he just had too. There is something of the Truth in this answer if he is to follow the ‘movement of creative thinking’ as Krishnamurti points out. Once you are riding on its wave, you know you have to keep going, to keep looking, to keep creating because with it you are fully in touch with the very process of creation and existence. ‘Fully alive’ as K points out later in this text. But first there does not seem to be common ground in our search for purpose.

The artist is looking for it through his art:

‘(he) will tell you that it is self-expression through painting, sculpture, music, or poetry; the economist, if you ask him, will tell you that it is work, production, cooperation, living together, functioning as a group, as society; and if you ask the religionist he will tell you the purpose of life is to seek and to realize God, to live according to the laws laid down by teachers, prophets, saviors, and that by living according to their laws and edicts you may realize that truth which is God. Each specialist gives you his answer about the purpose of life, and according to your temperament, fancies, and imagination you begin to establish these purposes, these ends, as your ideals.’

K says that we create an illusion, a false environment by conditioning, we live in it, and we look in there for the Truth, the purpose of life. We tend to ‘work towards an end, a purpose. You wade through this turmoil to the goal, to the end, to the haven of refuge, to the attainment of ideal; and these ideals, ends, refuges have been designed by economic, religious, and spiritual experts.’ There is no common ground.

And so for the artist what is his Truth of purpose before he finds his expression. Perhaps it begins and ends in the same place:

‘The very inquiry into the purpose of life indicates the lack of intelligence in the present; and the man who is fully active – not lost in activities, as most Americans are, but fully active, intelligently, emotionally, fully alive – has fulfilled himself.’

What he means by ‘fully active’, ‘fully alive’: with total observation, without conflict in the mind, primed up for watching through being aware of your space, without judgement, without being conditioned, and always remaining in the centre. You have to come to this state of being ‘fully alive’.

If one were to make a diagram of this it could be this to signify being fully alive. Being fully alive is a state of being. To have a state of “being” the mind has to sit a certain way. If one were to make a diagram of it it perhaps might be this to explain what is being fully alive:

The mind has to fall into silence first and to do this one has to stop verbal thinking altogether as it is this that is causing psychological thinking. When verbal thinking is stopped and one can do this by just simply stopping oneself silently vocalising what one is thinking or through meditation. The mantra in meditation just distracts one from silently speaking what one is thinking. I think that is all the mantra is doing. When the mind is silent intuitive thinking comes forward and in time this too can disappear and the mind will fall into a state of observation only. In this state of active being, watching, choiceless observation, with no judgement made with what you observe and feel and experience: “fully active, intelligently, emotionally, fully alive – has fulfilled himself.” – It is a mind space which one has to arrive at, to experience this “fully active, fully being” state of mind. From the chaotic world of verbal thinking to the silent intuitive mind and then to no-mind of “choiceless observation”. A symbol is a 1000 words and a drawing helps to see this state of mind in an instant. And a painting from an artist who’s mind is centred could serve the same function. “Artists, poets and musicians can only become fully creative if they work from this inner core of peace and integrity” from Karen Armstrong. The “new” in you only shows itself from a no-mind in a state of “active being” and observation and not from the chaotic mind of verbal thinking or “speak thinking”.

The enquiry into the end is futile, as Krishnamurti says as there is no such thing as an end and a beginning: there is but the continual movement of creative thinking and more importantly, it is that movement in the present “now”. What you call problems are the results of your ploughing through this turmoil toward a culmination. The ideals you look for are set up by the false environments that you have created for yourself. So essentially what you are doing is already trying to arrive at an ideal, which you will discover, is something not of an ideal after all. They are ‘just escapes from the present turmoil.’ There is only that ‘movement of creative thinking.’ Dealing with the environment as it is just now. The creative intelligence deals with just that, without the experts who create false environments for you to be in and make purpose and initiate beginnings and ends and goals you grind yourself towards.

So according to K, the end purpose and only purpose is learning to be fully in the present. To bring yourself to that point and stay there, you look at the movement that is you, in you, your mind, your daily activities, and watch them without judgement, to be in complete awareness, to only observe, to watch the cycles that repeat themselves because of lack of observational understanding and see how they come to an end when you follow them and see them clearly.

If you have to silent the mind you have the tools. Silent the mind with “speak thinking” and have better access to the other spaces in your mind and use them individually and see what you can discover.

Your thoughts are the barrier to having better access to the cosmos and knowing your full potential.

‘The observer is the observed’: what you observe is you and not outside of you. You are not separate from it. There is no method in the process. It is a naturally occurring process of observation, just as you are, watching your mind and everything around you. Bringing to an end the unnecessary process of psychological thinking and protest, so it does not get into the structure of the image. The noise of the mind then flattens out when these are gone. You are then left with pure awareness, just observing, completely understanding every movement, both externally and internally. Being complete and one with the environment and hence living in complete harmony with the vast space of the universe. And making art from here and understanding the art of life and its processes. Totally free to discover the “NEW”. Total freedom to discover your full potential.

When you have experienced all your mind spaces and know what they can do and then getting on with life itself: Ramana Maharshi

The No-mind state is not a lazy mind state of doing nothing. It has its surprises of a gem of the “new” in you popping-up in your mind. It is as far away as possible from the chaotic noisy mind of verbal thinking and psychological thinking and yet all you had to do was stop silently speaking what you want to think as in verbal thinking so as to silence your mind. Different mind spaces need to be explored and experienced to take advantage of their different functions.

The mind has to first naturally find its way to this space. Naturally and not through a method, as intangibles obtained through a method is not permanent. They only exist when the method is in use. The destructive patterns come naturally to an end. This is bringing something naturally to an end, by just ‘watching’ it. The stillness comes as a result of this ‘watching’ while being completely alert to things at all times. Initially, you might have to remind yourself to be alert, but with time it comes naturally, like breathing.

When Elton john was asked why does he still keep writing songs, when he does not know what he is worth and will never have to worry about his next cup of coffee, he said, ‘ because I am trying to find that ultimate song’. Is it what he is saying is that he is still looking for that ultimate something NEW song that will stand out of all the other songs that is in existence, and transform us forever with the NEW. Then I feel this is not going to come from thinking, but by being empty-minded in the now, calm, noiseless, steady, and then suddenly there it is, sitting in your mind, like magic, and not knowing where it came from. Thinking yourself into something uses tools that are already in existence, your past, your hopes for the future, all coated with your experiences and hence conditioning. How can the new come from data that is already known? Freedom from the known is also a point that K puts forward in his talks. The new has to come from non-existence, from nothing and not from your thinking past. But being one with all and to allow this to happen, the device of mind has to be primed to receive. Your living space that your mind has created to live in creates illusions, and if you cannot distinguish between a fact in you which is part of the Truth of things and the illusion created by the verbal thinking mind then good decisions might be difficult to make or at least one needs to know that this is this and that is that. If one lives in an illusory mind and look for the Truth using the coordinates of an illusion, you are looking outside the realm of the naturally true. Having said this the creative mind of verbal thinking is an illusory mind and can kick up some enchanting ideas and if it is all coming from verbal thinking and from your experiential past then the puzzle is always going to be about what is known in you. Perhaps that is why artists are always trying to find that ultimate thing – a song, a painting, an architectural building, a designed space in the city, better faster transport and a better life. The font-line of progress from the past in you will always be a puzzle of the known in you but whose says if the mind knows that a pop-up from a silent no-mind of something totally new shows itself and added to the frontline of life is not going to show better potential for life ahead of you but the new only comes from a no-mind.

The action of Truth shows itself through conscious awareness in a no-mind state of active “being”

The process and the purpose is: to be, so all is known without thinking, and action of Truth to manifest a discovery.

You have to get to stillness first, before you start making timeless art. Finding the new and adding it to the front-line of art. In the process, transforming viewers who come across the work. There can be no other purpose in this ‘futile’ obsession. The artist to be in contact with the universe by being as close to the structural energies of nature. To recognise conditioning in himself, to live outside the illusion, to be free of all that is known so that the new is accessible and to be totally free to create art that is timeless. Making work that will always be true to its time because its presence is that of the very essence of nature. I like to finish with a quote from a book by Karen Armstrong on ‘Buddha’, that before Christ to today’s Nepal and yesterdays India, around 300 BC who found that quiet centre:

‘Nibbana (enlightenment) is a still center; it gives meaning to life. People who lose touch with this quiet place and do not orient their lives toward it can fall apart. Artists, poets and musicians can only become fully creative if they work from this inner core of peace and integrity.’

Scientist are already beginning to think that there is an interface between consciousness and the brain

Access to the Universal mind and its repository through silence in mind.

We have to finally ask ourselves: are we, yes us, creating a brave new world for ourselves. We are all responsible for both the tangible and the intangible part of existence. This wholeness, the totality of existence, is brand new at any moment, created by us, as we bring it into existence. Everything, all the good and the bad, keeping in mind that there is no good and there is no bad as they are all part of the structure of existence (especially in the arts: so called ‘bad’ art, shows the way for the ‘good’ art, and if you see the truth in this you would price them equally and enjoy it for its power to point the way forward) AND THAT there is only that,’movement of creative thinking.’ The front-line of existence being created by: artists, economists, teachers, guru’s, mystics, killers, parents, muggers, presidents, kings and queens, drug dealers, microsoft, corner shop owners, schools etc. and at any moment, you look at it and you see what you got and you work with it. Never the same from one moment to the next, constantly being made and the artists, I would like to think, has a very positive part to play in this creation. And they will know what it feels like to ride the wave of the creative experience.

And to end this:

There is no guide to truth (in Art)

Is God to be found by seeking him out? Can you search after the unknowable? To find, you must know what you are seeking. If you seek to find, what you find will be a self-projection; it will be what you desire, and the creation of desire is not truth. To seek truth is to deny it. Truth has no fixed abode; there is no path, no guide to it, and the word is not truth. Is truth to be found in a particular setting, in a special climate, among certain people? Is it here and not there? Is that one the guide to truth, and not another? Is there a guide at all? When truth is sought, what is found can only come out of ignorance, for the search itself is born of ignorance. You cannot search out reality; you must cease for reality to be.

J. Krishnamurti, The Book of Life

The artist always has an image to make and the mind must cease for reality to be. Looking from the edge: making “darkness visible”.

More than one way to say the same thing: a leap into the void.

Creating a calm mind: stop verbal-thinking:

Consciousness links us to the Cosmic mind when the mind is silent:

Tathagata: 2 minds speaking and 2 separate mind spaces. The tangible and the intangible and the unseen in you equally important if not more so for one to experience to see the Truth of things.

2 mind speaking, mind spaces to be discovered through cross-legged meditation and seeing thinking for what it is: meditation opens up the mind. Stopping “speak thinking”/verbal thinking is a walking-talking active-state of-“being”-form-of-meditation. Stop the mind self-talk thinking anytime you want by observing your vocal cords silently speaking what you want to think for you to have to think at all. Stop silently speaking and verbal -thinking stops

From a conversation between Krishnamurti and David Bohm: movement to silence in mind and the action of Truth. The mind can see the action of Truth through conscious awareness. – that state of “active being” that Krishnamurti talks about.

The mind-body interface with consciousness manifesting probability possibilities.

I saw a UFO with a spaceman in it

This is the original pic: I was at a top of a building looking out into the Kuala Lumpur cityscape. I had my camera with me as I wanted to take some pics and a video of the cityscape. I will describe it to you as it happened so we can decide what happened here. It will be spooky in parts but I rather show and tell you the Truth than worry how it will reflect on me because I think in the future whatever I say here will be commonplace to us and besides others who have come across the same observations might not be afraid to talk about them.

I had a simple canon portable camera. Something one can keep in your pocket. So I slowly swung it around from left to right to get the video. But when I was doing this I felt more than see something flashed past from right to left. It did not create an impression at the time when it happened as I did not see anything but just felt it.

When I played the video back I noticed that there was a trail in the clouds and just thought, “I think something went past here really fast” and that was it. The thought ended there and some clouds separated in a line and nothing else in the sky. Then I had a silent intuitive pop-up in my mind, “look at the clouds”. I looked around and Ok clouds, but when I followed the trail and at the end of it a shape of a UFO, I thought. But if not for the undercarriage underneath the UFO shape, I would not have taken this any further. This thing looks like it has wheels of some sort on it that made me think that there might be something in it.

You can click on all the images below to get a closer look.

I found some software on the net that allowed me to extract UFO’s that are hiding in the clouds. I gathered later after some youtube videos and reading that they like camouflaging themselves behind clouds. I also sense that the machine told me that he was there if not I would not have found it. With some processing, you can see that the shape is more convincing that it is a UFO of sorts. You can even see that it has an interior to it.

UFO with an interior:

But this UFO also has a pilot in it bent over perhaps his console. This was in the Kuala Lumpur cityscape in Malaysia. Since I took this perhaps around 2015 or so: not sure of the exact date but since then, the country of Malaysia and its people has had a change of heart and turned itself around and voted in a government with better governance. The people had changed out a government which had initially ruled the country for 60 years and replaced it with a new government. (update: the video was taken on 3rd June 2017 and the new government in Malaysia was confirmed on 10th May 2018).

The pilot might look like someone who is bent over his console BUT if you look closer you can actually see another image, his real face, staring out at me. He even has his hands over the edge so we can see them. Look at this below an enlarged image of the above. You can also see him in the image above if you take your mind away from the fact that he is bent down over the console. Does he look like one of the greys? with his large eyes. I must say I was always confused about the image of him over his console as it looks like one of us but there he is in plain sight looking at me with his hands out over the side with his fingers visible saying, “here I am”. It’s me in my flying machine.

If you still have not got it: here is the face below. If you close the eyes a bit the image gets clearer and you can see him: They are known to talk to people intuitively. It is a combination of the vibrations from their spacecraft and their thoughts (they also probably silently verbalise their thoughts) and it is carried out into the surrounding environment as a silent subliminal sound wave and right through your eardrums and you hear only a buzz perhaps in your ears but a thought pops-up into the head and I get this, “look at the clouds” and the rest follows. Also, remember that if this is an alien craft the electromagnetic emissions coming out of it just adds to the transfer of sound through vibration. Microwaves are known to vibrate brain tissue and in that way send a “sound” signal to the cochlea in the ear and then to the brain and you get a thought and depending on the type and size of signal even a faint sound.

Have you wondered why in these images I could through extraction via some software that I found on the net also see through the alien craft? The only reason that the inners are visible is because it is transparent in the first place. Is that why we usually see them as balls of light when they are in the distant. They are made of transparent material. If we were making this ourself’s it would be of perhaps toughen glass. There are bridges in China that are made of glass these days. A craft embedded with electronic parts into part of its mainframe is really not so not possible even for us at the present times and being completely transparent at that. Perhaps this is why they find it easy to hide behind some clouds as the transparency itself allows them to become clouds and yet the heat around them could not help them hide completely and the shape of the craft can be easily spotted but in my case not without their help. Have you seen windows these days sold where with a flick of a switch they become frosted as that is how they were designed – so an alien craft can be anything it wants to be – transparent as unseen or become tangible and visible when it wants to be noticed?

But to think he was looking at me! I was on the 17th floor of this building, alone, looking out into the Kuala Lumpur cityscape and specifically went up there to take pictures. The craft would have been in the immediate distance and these guys were posing, slightly shy at being completely seen in broad daylight and hiding behind some clouds. Hey Buddy!

I wanted to get a closer look at the figure: you can see his hands and fingers and the face looks like a type of grey?.

The question to ask is: how many of these guys are around in the skies hiding behind the clouds and why are they here.

There is a lot of speculation about UFO on the net but here is one who wanted me to see it and knew that I was taking pictures and came dashing from somewhere to be in front of me and hid in the clouds after leaving a trail, so its presence would not be seen but perhaps could be felt and told me where it was when all I knew was its trail. I wonder if it would have thought that I would have gone beyond just seeing it in the clouds to actually extracting the shape and also seeing the pilot in it bent over his flight console but turns out even this image was camouflage with the spaceman hidden within this double 2-in-1 image, looking at me; and looking to be discovered?

This one other thing: it is not without reason that this UFO is hiding close to the KL telecommunication tower. It is a broadcasting tower: “Kuala Lumpur Tower, a member of the World Federation of Great Towers, is utilised by several organisations for various broadcasting purposes. Originally intended only for television broadcasting, radio antennas were included during the construction.”

I wonder how the UFO changed the minds/perception of the people in Malaysia to vote in a new government after 60 years. It must be handy to have a broadcasting station closeby. The KL tower is one of the tallest in the world: the 7th tallest to be precise. For the UFO this must have been handy for these communication towers to be in the clouds: Japan, China, Canada, Russia, Iran and Malaysia.

In the world, there are hundreds of smaller ones for your TV, your smartphones, your smart homes, your solar panels, Alexa, Echo and Siri.

Are the UFOs in the Skies controlling what is happening down here on planet Earth. Are they doing this by using our infrastructure to control our thoughts and hence our perception? Where are they from? What is their plan? If this is the case then do some of us already know what is going to happen? Is the future currently being made for us and it is just ahead of us as we walk into it as it is created? What is it? Can somebody figure this one out?

This is a case of the new weird in us, that cannot be believed because it is not within our past or memory or experience and part of the unseen and unknown part in us.

17 October 2019

Update: 11 November 2019

I watched “Bob Lazar, Area 51 and Flying saucers” on Netflix today and it was interesting to find in his drawing of the UFO and its anti-gravity propulsion system was also in the pic of the UFO I took in Malaysia:

Natural selection is natural eugenics?

Natural selection is natural eugenics. The human species has never created anything new but rather they always had the habit of taking from nature and amplifying the natural process and using it. The progress from natural selection to eugenics is just a natural progression from the mind of the human species. All they did was changed the name from natural selection and created a new word called eugenics.

The mind of humans is great at doing this, taking a fact and spinning it in their minds to something else. The frontline of thinking or verbal thinking is a great spinner for this type of thinking and has been specially created for us to do this type of thing. Everything we see around us comes from this type of thinking: the infrastructure that we live in was created this way: from a fact in our mind to a lie or an illusion is manifested in front of us. The financial infrastructure even more ephemeral, unstable and a construct of the mind. And eugenics another construct of the mind.

But what we are looking at now is that the process of natural selection and the natural creation of the root races already created and the ones to come about ahead of us is all part of the process of natural selection. We are today part of the 5th root race. There are 4 of them behind us. We have naturally changed through this beyond recognition from the previous ones and is here today, here right now as a new entity. We were only recently clever enough to send someone to the moon. Natural eugenics all the ways all these years up to here today.

One can easily see that up to now what we were good for or our minds were good for was to take from nature and amplify to create this environment for us and with it continue onwards and forwards and fine-tuning its new discoveries and the process of evolution continues. This cannot be stopped like eugenics can be stopped. Anything that is the construct of the mind is an illusion created by first our minds and then manifested and can be stopped in its tracks, destroyed and naturally with time come to an end.

So what can we expect towards the end of this coming root race? Let us just look at the scenarios. What have we done for ourself so far and if we take all this that has happened as that which was meant to happen and then we can predict from it was is expected of it for the making of the future?

What have we done so far that is substantial enough to make changes to how we continue to live. The biggest and greatest natural machine that we have is sitting on our shoulders: our brain. The driving force behind this is our thinking and perception. What have we done so far with our thinking and perception that is going to drive onwards the next phase? Whatever is standing now on the counter that will be able to change our perception of things in our inventions so far that can alter our perceptions and thinking is to yet again take on the natural in our environment and duplicate it and amplify it and counter the effects of natural selection and replace it with a kind of artificial consciousness and hence starts the beginning of the next phase of artificial intelligence. Natural selection is subdued by the process of amplification of the natural.

The 6th root-race will really be the life of the machine and artificial consciousness that will be the controller. Our minds had evolved enough, first gradually through the many years for us to understand the whole and what that ONE with all meant and then do what they have always been doing to amplify and recreate the same and find a way to use it.

If you think of it what is the best way to see the unseen in you is through amplification of the natural to see how you work. We now proceed in the evolution of the mind without any feedback from Brahman, the universal mind as its intuitive voice has been drowned out by the artificial voice of the machine:

Is Spirituality a Subliminal Activity?

Even Wikipedia carried a chapter on subliminal stimuli:

Subliminal stimuli (/sʌbˈlɪmɪnəl/) (the prefix sub- literally “below, or less than”),[1] contrary to supraliminal stimuli or “above threshold”, are any sensory stimuli below an individual’s threshold for conscious perception.[2] A 2012 review of functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) studies shows that subliminal stimuli activate specific regions of the brain despite participants being unaware.[3] Visual stimuli may be quickly flashed before an individual can process them, or flashed and then masked, thereby interrupting the processing. Audio stimuli may be played below audible volumes or masked by other stimuli.” Subliminal stimuli – Wikipedia

The big picture to see where subliminal activity comes in:

“There are three levels of consciousness that are involved in your question, conscious, subconscious, and superconscious. Our conscious mind is engaged in the senses and in the world. In our subconscious mind lies our old habits, old reactions, old fears etc. Our superconscious mind is our link to the Infinite, to Divine inspiration and guidance. The conscious mind looks outward to the world, the subconscious looks downward into our history and the superconscious looks upward toward the Light. The caution against hypnosis stems from the fact that messages delivered hypnotically are taken into our subconscious without any filter from the conscious mind or use of our will. Hypnosis is passive and opens the mind downward. It increases our susceptibility to subconscious influences.

Subliminal messages which are delivered below the level of conscious perception are similar to hypnosis in that they do not engage the will. They are able to penetrate and change the subconscious and if the message is positive can work on changing harmful influences that might be there. Subliminal messages however do nothing to strengthen our will and in fact may weaken it. When we use our will, understood as our willingness, we actively engage our energy, joined with the Divine energy to grow and change.”

Use of Subliminal Messages — Ananda

The Arts have taken this on too: Anthony Gormley’s Quantum Cloud:

It reminds me of the microtubules theory of how they vibrate in the nerve cells according to the stimuli from the environment. Imagine the brain packed with these tubules vibrating, playing a tune like a church organ, to a tune of consciousness or subliminal activity.

We might all be one but shackled to each other and with each part of the whole doing their own thing and yet to harmonised in the evolutionary process.

Microtubules in nerve cells vibrating to stimuli: playing a song for the mind and body. The whole body responding to the environment like the ear is to sound. It is always sound first in the evolutionary process.

Body sound: This is worth quoting in full from “wired”: Big Question: Why Can Silence Make You Hear Things That Aren’t There?

“Spontaneous firings of the auditory nerve can cause a high-pitched hiss, for example. Many people also have the strange experience of hearing their own blood pumping to their head, their breath, their heartbeat, as well as their digestive system’s symphony of gurgles and blurps. If you’re among the 5 to 15 percent of the population with constant tinnitus (ear ringing), you’ll definitely notice that, too.

And that’s where it ends for a lot of people. For others—like Radiolab co-host Jad Abumrad, who decided to sit in a completely dark anechoic chamber for an hour—things can get weirder.

In 2008, while sitting alone in a dark, sound proof room at Bell Labs in New Jersey, Abumrad heard a swarm of bees and the Fleetwood Mac song, “Everywhere.” The bees came first, about five minutes after Abumrad had sealed himself inside the chamber. During his hourlong stay, other faint sounds—like wind blowing through trees and an ambulance—seemed to appear and vanish from one or both of his ears. After about 45 minutes, Abumrad began to hear distant lyrics to a song, a song that sounded as if it was coming from a neighbor’s house: Ohhhhh Iiiii, I wanna be with you everywhere.

“The room is quiet, my head apparently is not,” he said in a followup post on Radiolab’s website.

“For a long time it was assumed that sound simply enters the ear and goes up to the brain,” says Trevor Cox, a professor of Acoustic Engineering at the University of Salford. “Well, there’s actually more connections coming down from the brain to the ear than there are going back up it.”

Why is that important? Well, for one thing it allows the brain to tweak the gain levels in the inner ear, Cox says. But as Polish neurophysiologist Jerzy Konorski pointed out in the late ’60s, those brain-to-ear connections are also the likely cause of auditory hallucinations. His theory, borne out by recent brain imaging studies, was simple: We’d all be constantly hallucinating were it not for the grounding input we receive from our other senses.

These inputs essentially help our brains distinguish between thoughts and reality. Take away or greatly diminish one or more of those sense organs, Konorski reasoned, and this would “produce hallucinations physiologically and subjectively indistinguishable from perceptions.”

In other words, while sitting alone with your own thoughts in a pitch black, soundless room, whatever happens to pop into your brain, whether it’s an earwormy Fleetwood Mac song, the voice of a friend, or a random sound triggered by some memory, you’re more likely to perceive it as real.

Indeed, most people who have auditory hallucinations have some form of severe hearing impairment, be it physical or neurological. But as Oliver Sacks recounts in his book Musicophilia, sometimes all it takes to trigger your own hallucinatory symphony is the prolonged silence of the calm open sea or the auditory monotony of a deep woods retreat.”

Big Question: Why Can Silence Make You Hear Things That Aren’t There?

Science has caught up with the mystics in defining consciousness. They have come to the conclusion that Consciousness is playing a tune for you via a church organ of microtubules in the brain. Consciousness interacts with the microtubules in the brain and causes the microtubules to vibrate to the pattern of the consciousness in the ether interacting with the brain and information, feeling an emotion or thinking is either extracted or generated from it. What is created by the brain as a result of this interaction is then radiated outwards and becomes part of consciousness as it “connect ultimately to ‘deeper order’ ripples in spacetime geometry.”

If this is true then I think the species does not have a chance in hell to survive the 21st century due to interference from the synthetic consciousness that is generated from the infrastructure of the cityscape of our living space and everything that is to come from AI in the future.

From: STUART R. HAMEROFF, MD

Quantum Consciousness Theorist & Researcher

“My research involves a theory of consciousness which can bridge these two approaches, a theory developed over the past 20 years with eminent British physicist Sir Roger Penrose. Called ‘orchestrated objective reduction’ (‘Orch OR’), it suggests consciousness arises from quantum vibrations in protein polymers called microtubules inside the brain’s neurons, vibrations which interfere, ‘collapse’ and resonate across scale, control neuronal firings, generate consciousness, and connect ultimately to ‘deeper order’ ripples in spacetime geometry. Consciousness is more like music than computation.”

Consciousness playing a tune for you via a church organ of microtubules?

I guess spirituality is still spinning on its head with the unseen, especially subliminal activity in the 21st century. So, as a species, where are we really heading with this?

Art – A Sacred Space

From Reality to Abstraction

Above: Photo emulsion, acrylic paint, Oil paint.

This below is a screen print of an image of a chair overlapping over each other multiple times until the original image is not recognisable anymore.

It is like when you overlap your signature one on top of each other, the “self” in mind disappears.

But how can I reproduce this process on to a canvas without the screen printing process? Overlapping of images but maintaining the element of chance to create the image. This also removes some of the thinking mind in deciding what the image should look like and allowing the mistake made to keep its place in the process as the mistake comes from “nothing” in mind which might have an element of the “new” in it. The thinking mind has its limitations as it can only do what it knows and from its past.

 Epiphany 1

I could use the materials that come from screen printing without the paraphernalia. I would replace the screen with the projected shadow on canvas soaked in photo emulsion.

Difficult road ahead as the photo emulsion is not colourfast and hence the image disappeared with time as light continued to process the image. I see a beautiful idea and image disappear in front of me.

Epiphany 2

Literally like a pop-up in my head, a solution. Something new from nothing in mind. A probability possibility manifested from the ether when the mind is in silence and defeated, a solution was created: use the photo emulsion as a binder and add pigments to it.  The pigments will be colourfast and the photo emulsion was a good binder and the final image could be crystallised and immortalised. All the images below were created by this process of projecting the shadow and using photo emulsion and UV light.

I think in the arts and in innovations, we have to realise that the mind has its limitations. It is important we see this so that we recognise the new when it appears as it would have no reference in the past in mind to give the “new” in art any importance and the discoveries and innovations are usually discarded because of this. We need to see that the mind can only do itself or use its experiences and its past as a kind of repository for its work. These are its limitations and the mind cannot work outside itself. Hence the progress in art and innovation and I dare say the process of evolution of the mind itself is a slow front line and always a puzzle of the old in oneself. The new comes from “nothing”. The mind has no reference in itself to recognise anything new when it appears.

Cloudy to Clear

A summing up:

The universe was created with the big bang: created in one command but it has been evolving ever since. It is in constant flux ever changing never the same at any moment. The same is happening to the mind and body, never ever the same at any moment and constantly evolving. Epigenetics will agree that this is true. When the mind sees its other thinking spaces it also sees its new potential which is naturally emerging.  Hunger never disappears even when you feed it. The human potential, same thing,  is always evolving even after you find something “new” in you. Evolution of the mind is where the top-ups are happening – the human potential is a top-up process from the Cosmic Repository where everything already exists.

We are changing all the time:

The Babas were right about this:

“There is one God,

Eternal Truth is His Name,

He is the Sole Creator.

He knoweth no fear;

Is at enmity with no one.

His being is timeless and formless.

He is not incarnate.

He is self-existent. Attainable

He is through the grace,

Of the Guru, the Enlightener.”

He is the Cosmos which is an energised living entity that is whole and complete like us but with no tangible body to show His presence.

Science was non-existent during the Babas time and hence use of metaphors was prevalent. That was a long time ago. Human potential is a very tangible process which you can find with the discovery of your mind spaces to see what those metaphors are implying.

Stop silently verbalising your thoughts. No need to talk about God anymore or metopharise about Him as you will meet Him at the end of this process and talk to him with an intention in mind. We are designed to discover our potential in mind and come up against the creator. There is no hierarchy in Gods world when we are all one with him and eventually like Him and all one has to do is to get rid of one’s thoughts and psychological thinking of this and that and the rest of it is driverless by just staying in that silent state of mind.

How to get rid of thoughts: in cross-legged meditation use the mantra to distract you from verbal thinking or during the waking talking walking working phase just stop verbalising one’s thoughts. Observing the movement of the vocal cords as a mantra to stop your thoughts. Silently verbalising your thoughts to think in verbal thinking seem to be an anomaly in us and we can use it to our advantage to bring on a silent mind.

The Shaman and the Ultrasound Portal into the Body

The Shaman and the Ultrasound Portal into the Body

From BC to AD: The Shaman and modern technology come together to create the new.

In developing countries like China and India having fast-tracked themselves into technology and where there is a long tradition of spiritual practices – the old system of the TRUTH showing itself through direct experiences and new technology can come together to create a new way of looking at things.

The “medics” has the added facility of actually seeing the tumour in realtime via ultrasound imaging and confirming the effects of the chants by increasing the frequency of the sound when some indication of the cells disappearing is noticed. This is exactly how the RIFE machine worked. The inventor did not give away his invention of how it worked in case of people trying to replicate it, but many years later some had looked into this invention, worked out that he had used a “top-up” system to get the product to work.  While others had tried to replicate it, it did not work as they could not see that it had this “top-up” element in it.

Look at the video above: earlier explanation is good to follow but the RIFE like treatment happens at about 5.0 to 7.07.  The chanting to me is actually topping the ultrasound frequency to create the resonant frequency for the tumour to disintegrate.

Is self-awareness an illusion?

Who is really being aware of everything when one is one with ALL?

I think self-awareness is as real as thinking. It is a tangible process. Even when your thinking mind asks the question you can sense that another is being self-aware. Can we find this thing that is being self-aware?

I think we can chase it to where it is by just using our mind. Nisargadatta did as he sensed that something was looking with him: there was his mind looking and another being aware of all this movement in the mind. But I can understand your question if this something is just an illusion. Lets not just philosophise here about it but let’s try and find it. Let’s see if we can locate it and shake its hand?

I think what Nisargadatta was saying is that if you find a mind space and ask yourself if I am that, or is that/this my true self and you find there is still 2 of you looking- one your mind looking and the other a kind of sense of awareness also being aware of everything looking – then which of these 2 is my true self? To start this search in your mind: If that “true self” looking with you is still there, then what you are looking at in your mind’s eye might not be it, or it might not be your true self. So how do we make sure?

So, what is interesting about the explanation giving by Nagarajan: This BEING can only BE. No self awareness! is that when you get to your true self: that which is watching behind your thinking mind then you can only be and there is NO SELF-AWARENESS anymore as that self awareness is coming from that other and because one has embedded itself into the watcher and is now in the true self then that sense of self-awareness disappears. When you become that thing that is self aware then the 2 becomes one. Duality in you disappears. You have become the watchman. No more duality and hence you realise that it was your thinking mind that was creating all the illusions in you and hence generating that duality. Initially, I am this that I am creating with my verbal thinking mind, and what is that? I ask myself, that is being aware of everything with me. There seems to be a TRUTH in the LIE in Me: duality: 2 minds speaking kind of perception. One yourself thinking up an idea and creating the lie in you and the other being aware of this.

So when the babas talk about duality this is the duality: the mind spinning a lie in you and you thinking this is my true self and then the other being AWARE of this. So when you get rid of the creator of the illusions – then what is left is your true self that is being aware of all these shenanigans in your mind. It is like creating a painting and then taking away the marks you don’t need to manifest the idea clearly.

The bottom line is this: your frontline verbal thinking mind is the culprit. It is the one that is creating this duality. When you stop this and explore your mind spaces further you come to your true self which is looking out for you – your true self showing you the other self-talking mind is not you but the trickster who is trying to fool you by creating all these lies for you. How do you think we created this living space we live in and the umbrella financial infrastructure we live under which is just a house of cards?.

The mind is really a very tangible entity if you want to discover this duality for yourself. One just has to find the different mind spaces in you which are created by your different thinking processes. Verbal thinking is the thing that is creating some serious lies in you and creating that duality that the mystics and babas are talking about. Verbal thinking is where one has to silently speak what one is thinking for one to think at all. This is the frontline of thinking. It is the creator of ideas from the first observations with the senses. It takes a fact and turns it around into a lie in you. It is the spinner of the creative process. You take an idea in your mind and you can manifest it into a 100 different ways – every single one manifested is different from the other but from the same source idea – every one a lie in you, an illusion. You can see where the duality is coming from – from your verbal thinking. This duality had to be said twice to emphasise the point – that there is 2 of you: one churning out a lie in you and the other being aware of this illusion creating process.

So what one needs to do is just abandon verbal thinking for a while and see what happens. Just stop the noise of duality. Because verbal thinking has an anomaly in that one must silently speak what one is thinking to have to think at all – then use that to stop verbal thinking in its tracks. Stop verbalising your thoughts and since this process is wired to each other and must work simultaneously for one to think at all, one will find you cannot think anymore when self-talk thinking stops and the mind will fall into immediate silence. This is the function of the mantra in meditation – it distracts the mind from the self-talk and you fall into the abyss of the silent mind. This is when the magic starts and you are in awe when you come upon the potential of the silent mind in the presence of the whole Universe behind you.

Then you find that there is an intuitive thinking and pictorial thinking left in that silent mind space. You still sense that self-awareness, when you ask the question, AM I THAT? Or AM I THIS mind space? You find that Brahman is still watching you and that self-awareness has not disappeared. So I am not this but I want to get to THAT.

The more time you spend in this silent space you will find that the pictorial thinking will also disappear. Pictorial thinking is still a kind of psychological thinking a nuisance of sorts a volcano spewing pictorial thoughts from one experiences or memory but it is non-interactive. You cannot spin it into an idea. one can only watch it. Nothing in the silent mind space can be spun. It creates no illusion in this mind space which is what is great about this space and why it is important to be here if one wants to get to the TRUTH of things.

One will find when one is still left with just intuitive thinking there is still self-awareness. Brahman is still watching with you. But this is a very special space to be in and it does not take much to get here by first dropping verbal thinking and into a silent space and from there is is just biding your time by staying in this space for the rest to unfold towards the TRUE SELF. You will find that with a silent intention in mind – only by a silent intuitive thought, one can have a conversation with Brahman. But when you finally become one with Him your true self, self-awareness finally disappears. That Watchman disappears from your memory. In fact, all memory of the personal self disappears and there is no memory of the experience of being your true self as the Watchman because the True Self cannot watch itself and it can only be.

“This BEING is non duality. There is no reason for this BEING to know ITSELF for it just IS.

This BEING can only BE. No self awareness!” Nagarajan Ramachandran.

A pictorial summary:

meditation:

More than 1 way to say the same thing:

Who is really being aware of everything when one is one with ALL?

We are here connected to all of this: who is really being aware of everything when one is ONE with ALL?
