Wave Rider

The Airwave switch-off is due to start in April 2016 which includes Tetra technology that the police and emergency services use.

TETRA frequencies are mainly allocated in the 410 to 430 MHz band with some countries allocating frequencies in the 450 to 470 MHz band.

So if you pick up a signal like this below you might get the impression that the police is at some sort of shenanigance in a particular area.  Monitoring.  Surveillance.

This frequency above might be close enough to cause concern as tetra at 446 Mhz. frequency.

This below is just the open source base tone for add-ons when needed at 446 Mhz.

But this might be coming from here.

Keep in touch around the house and garden with Binatone Latitude 100 PMR radios. These PMR446 radios use the licence free 446MHz frequency band to communicate from unit to unit. With a range of up to 3km, these short range radios are perfect for communicating without needing a call plan or licence.

I hope you can see that these are also very good listening devices.  Better you know that not.  Put it all down in front of you and see what you have between the the tangible object and the intangible wave rider that connects you to your space.  Just one of the items to add to the “internet of things” as you get wired to the space around you.
